We at Grace Baptist love to fellowship and build community with one another. We are always excited to invite others into this community and seek to give a very warm welcome to all who join us. Our welcome isn’t based on your outward appearance, your gender, your ethnicity, or your social status. Our welcome is based on the fact that you matter to God – and because you matter to God, you matter to us.
God’s Word, the Bible, is central to everything we are and everything we do at Grace Baptist. You will find this focus on the Word expressed in the following ways:
God’s Word is Sufficient – First Peter 1:3-4 tells us that God has “…given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness…” In other words, God has provided everything we need to know Him personally and to live a life of meaning that pleases and honors Him. He has made this provision through His Word, the Bible (1 Timothy 3:16-17).
God’s Word is Literal – We believe God designed His Word to be understood because God wants us to know Him. We take the Bible literally except where obvious figurative language and clear illustrations are used. This leads us to a dispensational view of Scripture and an end-times viewpoint that holds to the Pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church and the Pre-Millennial Return of Christ.
God’s Word is Preserved – We believe that God has not only promised to preserve His Word (Psalm 119:89; Matt. 24:35), but He has indeed kept that promise. This firm belief is seen in our exclusive use of the King James Bible which we believe is an accurate translation of God’s Word from the preserved texts of the original languages (Masoretic and Textus Receptus).
